Ryan
first of all congratulation on your blog.
it was a pleasure to meet you at Vinifilles.
I liked Freche’s speech despite the fact he goes on a bit too long.it’s refreshing to see that a politician is not putting his head in the sand and pretend that everything is OK.
The region has the capacity to produce both high quality wines from small growers, but also large volumes for thirsty export markets.
they just need to get their act together.
Sud de France is a good Brand, but seems to be a bit all over the place.the UK being a mature Market is probably not that important in their eyes, considering that South Africa has just overtaken France in Volume you’d think they might spend a couple of euros on marketing. the punters understand Australia,Chile,Argentina etc but France is still a mystery for the general public.
Anyway,I liked his approach.
