About Love That Languedoc

Welcome to Love that Languedoc!

My name is Ryan O’Connell. I grew up in the United States, but my family moved to France in 2005 when I was 19 years old.  My parents and I work on a vineyard in this gorgeous part of the world.  It’s amazing.

This website exists so that I can show you all the exciting things that happen in this region.  Like when Mr. Rogers brought you or your kids to the crayon factory, I will bring you throughout the Languedoc to meet all the wonderful people who live here.

If you want to get in touch with me about anything (Love that Languedoc, O’Vineyards, travel questions, etc.) just send an email or a tweet or facebook me or whatever. If I don’t respond within a few days, bug me again. I don’t mind. In fact, I like it.

Something great is happening every day in the Languedoc Roussillon, and it’s very often wine-related.  It will be a pleasure to show you around!

    Hi Ryan,

Nice to see your work and efforts to promote my personal favourite wine area: Languedoc.

Would you be interested to work with me? We are a young site trying to find all wine tasting trails.

It would be great if you would be our contact for the Languedoc area.

If you are interested, please let me know,

    Regards,

    Marcel – deligogo

    Mr O’Connell, good sir!

Perhaps oddly, but to watch your toilage in the rocky soils and rolling vinyards of Languedoc, to see your photos of the swept cellers and tasting rooms, is a dream and welcome escape for me over here. Suffer on! Perhaps one day i will pleasure to find your path and catch up behind you. Cheers!

    Best,

    Collin

    Hi Ryan,
This looks a very interesting site. I love Languedoc and this year the family are staying at a gite near Sigean. I have usually stayed a bit further south so although I love Corbieres, I don’t know vineyards that do tastings. My son and three daughters, two of whom are over from New Zealand have been properly brought up to love wine so I would like to find degustation & sale vineyards up in the Corbieres. Any suggestions? We will be on a bit of a budget, so none of the fancy stuff please.
Congrats on your site, well done Google!

    Hi Ryan,
I am planning on visiting Perpignan and Collioure in September and will be travelling on a budget with my tent. Are there any vineyards where we can visit and camp or stay very cheaply?
    Thanks,
    Sophie
